On November 2, 2023, at the Avalon Hollywood, Humanitas hosted the Humanitas Prizes Toast, a celebratory party and awards program in honor of the 2023 Humanitas Prize winners and nominees, the 2023 Voice For Change Winner, the Writers Guild of America, and the recipients of the 2023 New Voices Fellowship, the David and Lynn Angell College Comedy Award, and the Carol Mendelsohn College Drama Award.
The Humanitas Prizes forwent its usual awards ceremony to avoid crossing picket lines and instead announced winners and nominees in the Los Angeles Times.
