2024 HUMANITAS PRIZES
About the Event
Since 1974, The Humanitas Prizes have honored professional film and television writers whose work explores the human condition in a nuanced and meaningful way.
Variety announced Humanitas will host The Humanitas Prizes Award Show & Toast on Thursday, September 12 at the Avalon Hollywood where the 2024 winners and nominees will be recognized.
Recipients of the 2024 New Voices Fellowship, the David and Lynn Angell College Comedy Award, and the Carol Mendelsohn College Drama Award will also be recognized.
At the event, winners will receive trophies and there will be a program with remarks. The event will feature live DJ sets by Novena Carmel (KCRW’s Morning Becomes Eclectic).
Funds raised at The Humanitas Prizes event provide essential support for The Humanitas Prizes, New Voices Fellowship, College Screenwriting Awards, and Public Programs, like Groceries for Writers, The Writers Room, and Industry 101.
